restorative dentistry

  • A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth in order to improve strength and appearance. Recommended when filling material is greater than the amount of natural tooth structure remaining, in the event of a cracked tooth, and after root canal treatment. Using Cerec technology, we offer same day crowns made of a strong porcelain material called E.max.

  • Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth by attaching crowns on neighboring teeth. They prevent the neighboring teeth from moving and help maintain the shape of the patient’s face.

  • Tooth colored fillings are a cosmetic option to help restore teeth that have been damaged by decay. The loss of tooth enamel causes sensitivity. The dentist will remove the decayed tooth structure and replace it with a tooth colored composite resin material.

  • Diode lasers can be used to reshape, recontour, and remove any excess gum tissue necessary when the restoration of a tooth is taking place.

  • Dentures are used to help improve chewing ability, speech, aesthetic appearance, and oral health when permanent teeth have been lost. With full dentures, all teeth are replaced and an impression is made to ensure that the dentures fit snugly over the gums.

  • A denture that replaces one or more teeth when a fixed replacement option, like a bridge or an implant, is not ideal. Made of a flexible, nylon resin material that does not break easily.
